Many Pakistani expats travel back home during summers. It’s the official holiday season, there are mangoes, and for the last few years, it also gives us an opportunity to celebrate at least one of the Eids with our respective families.
But this year, with covid’19 pandemic guarding borders like a venomous snake, we are all staying put. Other than losing on the privilege of seeing family, munching on falsays and breaking out after one too many mangoes, we are also deprived of the summer fashion frenzy. Lawn kurtas, Eid joras, colourful chappals and baggy cotton shalwars – all of it.
And just when I was ready to accept the unfortunate circumstances, I came across summer collections by H&M and Zara. Lo and behold, they not only had enough floral prints to give Gul Ahmed a run for their money but also breezy silhouettes, which can be paired with straight pants, churidaars or flowy palazzos (also available by these brands) and a dupatta from your own trousseau for the next best thing.
This is just in time for Eid-ul-Adha – both this post and the summer sale on H&M and Zara. I have short listed some (clothing) for your perusing pleasure. Also adding links, so you can view it directly on their website as well.
