There is a coffee festival in town folk(ses)! Berlin The 5th Berlin Coffee Festival takes place from 1st to 6th October this year, with the aim to appreciate all the steps involved in making good cup of coffee, highlight the coffee crisis where prices for coffee beans have dropped so low that coffee farmers can barely afford to harvest it as well as a look into different programs to benefit coffee farmers, such as this Bellwether Coffee idea to let coffee consumers directly tip the farmers of the beans. There’s also a chance for coffee enthusiasts to experience the coffee culture in Berlin as wholistically as possible.
There is an extensive program for every single day. From cupping to tasting, roasting workshops, competitions, bake offs, quiz nights, storytelling, pairing guides…there is A LOT going on. You can check out the full schedule, with date, time and venues, at https://berlincoffeefestival.de/en/programm-en/2019-10-01/
I love coffee, and am so excited about this festival. I will try to squeeze in some events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and you are very likely to see them on my Instagram. Also, thinking about a flash giveaway. Yes, I am very excited, Coffee does that to me.
If you do decide to go, and post on your social media accounts, please do tag @thecherrycross – I’d love to see and repost some of your moments as well.
