I am a creature of habit, as you may or may not know. If I like something, I purchase it again and again, until it is either out of production or I don’t have access to it. Perfumes are no different. I recently purchased something new after three years, and that gave me the idea of this post. Perfumes that I have bought over and over again in the last decade.  This post can be of interest to you if you 1) are looking to try a new fragrance 2) have used one of the following fragrances and want something similar, and 3) want to share your favourite scent (see you in comments).

Side note – while writing this post, I realised that I prefer warmer, sexier fragrances, with a tinge of sweetness. They are mostly evening appropriate, though I wear most of them throughout the day.

Heat by Beyonce

Released in 2010, Heat by Beyonce was the first perfume endorsed by the much celebrated singer. It has vanilla, magnolia, neroli and peach for top notes; middle notes of almond macaroon, honeysuckle and musk; and base notes of giant sequoia milkwood, tonka bean and amber.

It is just what the name suggests. Hot. Sexy. Like a midnight fever.

Lady Million by Paco Rabanne

Also released in 2010, Lady Million is a feminine fragrance, with a shade of glamour. It has raspberry, neroli and bitter orange for top notes; middle notes of orange blossom and jasmine sambac; and base notes of honey and patchouli.

It is lively, sensual and enchanting, with a delicate but very present trace of floral-woody freshness.

Very Sexy by Victoria Secret

A bold, woody slow-burn that lingers, Very Sexy by Victoria’s Secret is one of my all time favourite perfumes. It has clementine and midnight blackberry for top notes ,and creamy woods and sweet vanilla orchid for base.

There are few things that make you feel more powerful than being sexy.

Calvin Klein CKIN2U

One for the adolescent years. I used to wear CKIN2U all through my early 20s, as the scent is both warm and spontaneous. It has redcurrant, grapefruit and bergamot for top notes; middle notes of cactus and orchid; and base notes of vanilla, amber and cedar.

A fragrance full of passion and energy, like a cocktail party on the beach; fruity, sparkling and refreshing.

Scandal by Night by Jean Paul Gaultier

My latest purchase, Scandal by Night is a potent, sweet and opulent fragrance. It has citrus and honey for top notes; middle notes of tuberose and nard; and base notes of patchouli, tonka and sandalwood.

It’s an evening appropriate fragrance and I am really excited to wear it throughout autumn of 2019.
