DIY: Earrings Organiser (in only 2.30€)

I am currently obsessed with earrings (as you can see here, here, here and here),and my stash is growing rather wild. I bought a jewellery stand from Amazon earlier this year, and it is now out of space. Also, it was not strong enough to handle my heavy weight champions.

So, instead of buying another stand, I looked up budget-friendly ways to organise them. I tried a couple, before deciding that I liked the following idea best. It costs 2.3€, and can hold up to 20 chandelier earrings, and 100 small ones.

So, here’s what you need:

  • Foam (I bought 40 x 40 x 2, from Bauhaus. It is called Schaumstoff, and Bauhaus has industrial quality wares, so I know that it won’t fall apart in a week or so. They come in many different sizes and thickness, and I am linking it here for you).
  • Pair of scissors
  • Your earrings

All you need to do is cut the foam in 4 to 6 equal pieces, and pin your earrings in. Store all stoppers in a box (time to use those tin mint boxes!).

You can stack them up, line them one after another or store them in a drawer. You can literally do anything and everything with them. You can cut them in different size, colour coordinate, or keep it simple like I did.

If you do try it, please let me know.
