Happy Friday folk(ses)! Today, I want to unbox my beauty box, personally curated by yours truly, on the blog. In simpler terms, beauty products that I bought this month. Some of the items are repurchases, and a couple that I have been meaning to try for a while. Let’s dive in!

Tries, Tested, Loved:

Batiste Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair:

This is the only dry shampoo that I use because it actually works! A dry shampoo helps freshen a day or two old hair (post wash), work well to add texture and volume, and this one has saved me one too many times in the event of impromptu meetings. I go for Batiste because it leaves little to no white residue.

The Body Shop Vitam E Intense Moisture Cream (Day Skin, 72H):

My skin is unusually dry and patchy, and nothing seems to sooth these flakes other than TBS’ Vitamin E creams. I use it during the day, before putting on makeup. Moisturisation is the key, children.

The Body Shop Vitam E Nourishing Night Cream:

I bought this for Mother India once, and used hers while I was in Pakistan. It is much heavier and makes my skin shine, but the morning after, it’s like I injected liquid gold in my skin. I just had to get it for myself.

Bebe 5-in-1 Makeup Removal Wipes:

Of all my vices, this irks me the most – not removing makeup properly before going to bed. I am trying to have a night beauty routine but on days that I just can’t be arsed, these wipes make sure that I don’t wake up with eyeliner smeared on my pillow covers. They remove waterproof makeup as well as stubborn mascara and long lasting lipsticks.

Eager for Testing:

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Protect Lotion (with SPF 30):

A friend swears by it and claimed that it helps brighten dull skin. Also, with the onset of summer, a little SPF action helps.

trend IT UP Watrerproof Brow Liner:

It has a roll-up angular tip, natural colour and is soft to apply. I find pencils a little too hard and they somehow always come off. Liquid and pomade ask for too much commitment.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (20):

An oil free formula to hide the signs of a late night out. Insider tip, blend with your finger and dab instead of rubbing it in.

Nyx Dewy Finish Setting Spray:

I have never used a setting spray, so actually excited to see how well it works. It claims to fix the make-up and protect it from fading.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Matte Liquid Eyeliner:

Liquid dip, waterproof, matte and intense black. It checked off everything on my list, and hence made it to checkout.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brush 4:

Professional-quality flat top buffing brush, ideal for using with liquid, cream and powder foundations. It achieves a natural-looking finish with less product absorption and waste.
