Kick back on Anya Hindmarch’s chubby cloud
After her giant red heart balloons took over London and everyone’s Instagram feed in February, Hindmarch is back with her latest installation for Fashion Week. Visitors are invited to head to Whitehall’s Banqueting House where the designer has created a huge beanbag for you to sink into, designed to mirror the cloud theme in her autumn/winter 2018 collection. There is also a number of wellbeing classes and talks with high-profile names, all of which take place on the chubby cloud.

Celebrate Alexa Chung’s first LFW show
Platinum House London will feature exclusive experiences for American Express Platinum Cardmembers, including access to the official after-party for the first-ever ALEXACHUNG show, complete with a live performance from James Bay and DJ sets from SG Lewis and KUNGS. You won’t go hungry either, with food and drink from Tredwells, Duck and Waffle and Hakkasan.

Buy Riccardo Tisci’s debut Burberry collection
This season marks a significant new chapter in the history of Burberry as Riccardo Tisci unveils his first collection for the brand. The offering will be available to purchase on Instagram, WeChat and also the Burberry flagship store on Regent Street for 24 hours after the show takes place on Monday 15 September. The store itself will host individual themed rooms that celebrate the history of the brand and also the future of Burberry.

Dating app Bumble is collaborating with Charlotte Simone will host The BFF Hub. It promises to be super Instagram-friendly with fluffy walls, Teddy Bear photo booths, a friendship bracelet making station and a pick ‘n’ mix stand. This is tipped to be the ‘friendliest spot at Fashion Week’. It is a free event that’s open to everyone. So take your friends – old or new – and embrace all the great things about them.

Meet one of fashion’s key muses, Stan Smith
One pair of trainers that you just can’t escape from are Stan Smiths. They’re part of any fashion lover’s wardrobe, but few know that the ubiquitous style was inspired by the former tennis legend Stan Smith. You can meet the man himself at a signing of his new coffee table book Stan Smith: Some People Think I’m a Shoe at Dover Street Market, where you also might be able to get your hands on a limited edition pair of the iconic Adidas Stan Smith trainer.

Q&A with Alexa Chung & Raven Smith at Liberty London
Liberty will be taken over by the renowned duo Alexa Chung and Raven Smith, to celebrate their AW18 collection titled Hotel Motel. Chung and Smith will discuss their collection and their debut at LFW. You will also get the chance to ask them a question on a range of topics both in and outside of the fashion industry.

This London Fashion Week, The London EDITION’s Lobby Bar will host fashion illustrator Jessica Bird, who will create complimentary portraits of guests. Bird has worked backstage at prestigious shows and is familiar with the vibrancy of fashion; this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Learn about the legacy of the legendary Azzedine Alaïa
If you loved the Azzedine Alaïa exhibition at the Design Museum, then make sure you buy tickets to hear the co-director, Alice Black, talk about how she curated it. The display showcased his fashion career as a couturier and explored his meticulous construction process and refusal to adhere to the traditional show format.

Ever since the Queen attended his show for London Fashion Week back in February this year, Richard Quinn has become a big name in fashion. Sarah Mower, an industry talent-spotter and revered journalist, talks to the British designer about his spring/summer 2019 collection and how his work earned him the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Kate Moss is still one of the most sought-after supermodels in the world, with countless covers, awards and campaigns. She has done all this while still retaining an air of mystery, rarely giving interviews to the press which has only added to her allure. See her in the flesh at an exclusive book signing hosted by photographer (and Moss’ ex) Mario Sorrenti, who is launching a book of unseen photographs of the famed model, published by Phaidon this month. The event will be held at Matches’ new store in Mayfair, which is in itself well worth visiting.

Fashion Design, Storytelling and Performing Arts: An Evening with Matty Bovan
Acclaimed fashion designer Matty Bovan will present the site-specific installation created with artists Rory Mullen and Adam Leach. Also featured in conversation is curator Alison Moloney (London College of Fashion) and project manager Zara Worth. They will discuss the creative process behind the Leeds Pavilion and the relationship between fashion and performance art that blossomed from this creative partnership between Bovan, Mullen and Leach.

London Fashion Week Festival
London Fashion Week Festival is the perfect way to experience LFW. The tickets range from £20 – £60 and it will be worth every penny. You will be able to attend fashion-focused talks from the experts, have a meander around the designer pop-up stores and attend catwalk shows.
This year’s festival schedule is filled to the brim, but here are some highlights you don’t want to miss:
- On Thursday 20, Mother of Pearl will bring their fully sustainable collection alongside their AW18 mainline collection fresh off the LFW catwalk.
- On Saturday 22, pop-culture fanatic Bobby Abley presents his ‘Bobbyland’ collection in collaboration with Warner Bros.
