With sun shining bright, and brunch season officially kicking in, I am happy to report that I have planned to go cafe hopping all summer long to report to you what brunch spots are worthy of your time.
Today, I went to Cafe Buur and here’s what I think:
Ambiance: Polished wood, vintage furniture and industrial chic vibe, Cafe Buur is trendy and #instaworthy. Long faux oak tables are neatly lined on the patio and indoors, with a splash of green here and there for effect.

Food: The menu comprises breakfast classics like eggs benedict, pancakes, bagels and fruit bowls, along with a variety of hot and cold drinks. I had pancakes with Nutella and vanilla ice cream. Oh, and Nutella was generously topped, and came in an injection as well if I wanted more. Full points for creativity. 8/10 for flavour.
Food pictures at the end of the post.
Service: Attentive, accommodating and friendly.
Verdict: I had a great time, loved the ambiance, enjoyed the food and appreciated staff that smiled when an occasion called for it. I would recommend the place, and will most likely return with a friend in a couple of weeks.
Piece of advice: Make reservations, and confirm the details twice with the phone operator before hanging up. Mix-ups can happen. It is a rather busy place.
