SeeMe is a luxury jewellery brand with a cause. The company employs women across the Middle East and North Africa who have often suffered violence and been kicked out of their communities, often for being single mothers. SeeMe provides these women with training using traditional techniques from their home countries and pays them a fair wage in order to help them create a future for themselves and their families.
SeeMe has also collaborated with other brands in order to help promote ethical fashion, including Karl Lagerfeld, Missoni, and Tommy Hilfiger. For those of you who closely followed Dubai Fashion Forward last year, the founder of SeeMe, Caterina Occhio, spoke as part of the Ethical Fashion Matters talk.
This year, you’ll be seeing a lot of the Orange Heart, created by SeeMe as a piece to represent the 20th anniversary of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. Nicole Kidman is one of their brand ambassadors for this cause, so you’ll see her wearing the orange heart!
SeeMe does not have a permanent retail location in Dubai yet, but they do have pop up shops from time to time. Their most recent one was last week at O Concept store, and here are some fun photos of that event!
