It’s not Friday yet (but it might be by the time you see this), and we are ecstatic to share Cherry Cross’ facelift with you!
Obviously, you have noticed that already. We look prettier. For example, there are so many words on Cherry Cross’ homepage now that even I get cross-eyed sometimes, unable to decide what should I look at first. Also, there is better categorisation (I manually tagged 811 posts; yes, respect is what I am looking for, thank you). And other such subtle enhancements that I am going to brag about just now.
Cherry Cross will now focus on Fashion & Beauty, Lifestyle, Love, Food and Travel – the keyword being focus. Confused? Let me explain. For example, now if I write only emotionally charged fiction and nonfiction posts for the Love section and ignore the rest, the other four will rightfully gang up against me and it will be a ‘we need to talk’ situation. Gulp.
Also, there are strategically placed ads (because I need to pay bills), and easy access to our social media accounts. And you, Mr. Silent Stalker, it’s time to subscribe to Cherry Cross (via that widget under Facebook on your right – no, don’t pretend like you can’t see it. I know you love me and I love you too. Let’s make it official. Subscribe).
What else… a lot of travel features are lined up. Get ready to walk down the streets of Paris – France, cobblestone pavements of Brugge – Belgium, and breath in the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka. I might continue with my Iran series as well and share more stories from my visit to Kish Island. And then there will be accounts of my (mis)adventures in Germany. That should be fun!
I have already sampled some of the culinary offerings of this city (Köln), and while I haven’t been notoriously adventurous, I like whatever I have sampled so far. It’s generous and they love potatoes. So a lot of food fun will be up on the site, in time.
