Known for their statement jackets, Zukker showcased its Bergwertung collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin, putting its best fashion foot forward. The designer trio behind the label, Sebastian Schettler, Heike Becker and Benjamin Kräher, are also known to create eco-friendly fashion, with its production in Ore Mountains of Germany.
Zukker’s collection for AW’16 comprises of clean cuts and lines, with oversized coats lined with fur and experimental silhouettes like inverted hourglass and classic favourites like bomber jackets. My personal favourite is the rustic fur accent on an orange coat, which has a contrasting hem, as seen below.
The collection is aesthetically fluid, and devoid of any stiff elements. Some looks can be classified as sporty, but the feel is certainly feminine, elegant and chic. Designer trio breaks off the monochrome collection with plaided and dotted pieces, making sure there is something for every palate.
