“I have this little substance abuse problem…expensive footwear” ― Carrie Bradshaw
Who doesn’t? On my iWant list, there are always a pair that I am itching to get my hands on. And with the likes of Chiara Feragni glamorizing even sneakers and converse, we are doomed!
Anyway. This post is not about understanding the twisted relationship between shoes and women (if that’s what you want, here’s a post Idid that explores this association in detail). For now, let’s focus on skirt, and shoes!
I am new to the skirt-sphere. I have only, reluctantly if I may add, tried on a full-length skirt. And it took me some time to realize that wedge sandals, open-toe pumps and even beaten ankle boots and converse can look alright with it, depending on what kind of look I am aiming for.
Despite the many option, there are some fail-proof combinations that you can blindly rely on. And here we present to you some of them, via InStyle. Hope you like it!

Asymmetrical Skirt look best with Ankle Strap Pumps
