I have been planing to go on a serious shopping spree since I landed in Dubai, but the God of Malls won’t let it happen. There was always something important to do or be at. And the spree kept looking at me, from a distance, with mournful eyes.
And then, romance kicked the God of Malls where-it-hurts, and took control.
I was feeling unwell and not-so-bright when Mr.N dragged me to Mall of Emirates on the pretense of grocery shopping from Carrefour. Wearing home slippers and abaya-look-alike dress, I followed. We roamed around a bit, checked out sales at a number of stores (heads up: nothing worth it is left at Zara) and then headed to the food court for iftar. I had red chicken curry with rice, and N had a field day with a foot long sub.
Anyway. On our way out, we saw Centrepoint and N suggested we check out if they have those color pants I have been panting over. We didn’t find the colored pants, but did end up buying fantastic four!
This flimsy beige and black top is sensual, chic and appropriate from day to night. I will pair it with a tank top and add some statement accessories to complete the look.
Cheetah in Pink! I already have a pair of maroon-red sunglasses, so this was more on the splurge side. But they are such a beaute! I couldn’t resist them , more so when they were available at throw-away prices (almost).
It’s the shade of blue that says formal without being a drab. I loved the lace stitched on the sides of the neckline. And the final push came from the glittering golden buttons on the cuff.
And this pretty piece of china, my lovelies, I got for free! Oh yes – on a purchase of Dh300 or more, you get a freebie under Ramadan Special, exclusively at Splash.
So, what do you think?
