It should be criminal to be beautiful and still manage to look ugly. It was a shocker to see Sridevi draped in neon orange gown by Alberta Ferretti and Boonery Kapoor on her arm (if you know what I mean) and Deepika missing the gorgeous-mark by a mile. With a heavy heart, we present to you the miss-es at Filmfare Awards 2013.
We can’t decide who hurt us more with such faux pas. Depika’s dress by Prabal Gurung screams of being a disappointing imitation of Cavalli. But it’s not just the dress; Depika looks tired, un-accessorize and wanna-bi-ish (when she doesn’t need to!). Had she picked up what Sridevi wore, we would have be such fashion-satisfied souls. Sridevi’s orange gown is almost gorgeous, but something went terribly wrong in the upper half. Too young for the 49-years old bombsell, no?
Pale-ness and pink overdoes with Amrita and Urmila’s respective Anarkalis. Maybe a little sharing would have done these ladies some real good.
Before Filmfare 2013, I was convinced that one cannot go wrong with black. But trust Parineeti and Shahana to prove us wrong. The black net lehnga/saree could have been gorgeous, on someone else. And the thigh-high slit of Parineeti’s dress by Rajat Tangri looks distasteful, and very high-scool-prom-ish.
One more time I have to see Vidya in Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation and I might throw up. Yes, the print is very LV but done-to-death as far as the desi-maym is considered. And Raveena chose a safe black-and-green saree. Nothing wrong with it, just the staleness of last season. Bu oh wait, isn’t that the case with Ms.R too? Just kidding!
