I got engaged today. And I saw some of the pictures clicked by my sister. And boy, do I look like a giant or what?!? On top of it, the make-up done by Mona J is so not flattering on me. My big eyes are gone to be replaced by tons of base and contouring-gone-wrong. I will write all about it later. Right now, I need to make a resolve. To myslef.
Starting from Monday, January 9th 2012, I will be a girl with a mission. Lose at least 4 kg a month. Lets not get aggressive and make unreasonable targets. I need to look like a GIRL instead of a big flab of ugly fat. I never thought these kind of thoughts would crowd my mind on the day I get engaged; but, they do. And I am upset. Very Very Very Upset!
This year, my new year’s resolution will be as follows:
- Lose weight and become healthy
- Start saving and spending with caution
- Balance personal life and work, instead of just being at work ALWAYS!
- Keep my family and fiance happy to the best of my capabilities
In terms of my fourth resolution, I actually have a few tricks up my sleeve that I think my family are going to love. For example, I was speaking to my best friend a couple of weeks ago and she told me that she has managed to track down some long-lost relatives.
Apparently, nowadays, you can use online genealogy resources like the Genealogy Bank website where you can find census data, obituary archives, and other tools that can help you to learn more about your ancestors. In fact, thanks to the internet and social media, locating any family members that you have lost touch with has never been easier!
Anyway, with all this in mind, I have dusted off our family tree and I am going to see what I can find out about my own family history. I am so excited and cannot wait to share my findings with all of my relatives very soon! Do you have any stories about tracking down long lost family members? Let me know in the comments as I would love to hear about your experiences!
