Best of Paris Fashion Week 2017 – Day 2 (2)

Isabel Marant

If there is one thing that will be trending this Fall, it’s baggy pants and tapered denim. Marant’s creations for the upcoming season are sexy, without costing the warmth factor. She added sparkle to ruffled bell sleeves and midi dresses with moonlight fabric, liquid gold dress with black velvet bomber, skinny pants studded with crystals and just about enough skin baring to keep a fair distance from boring and predictably prim.

Paco Rabanne

Four years in, Julien Dossena has finally managed to pull Paco Rabanne out of the predictable stream, with a collection that has been an instant hit. He employed asymmetric cuts and shoulder-draping-baring silhouette, infused it with modern-sporty vibe (and not athleisure), and wrapped it up with a shot of glitter. It has 80’s fashion statements at the helm, with papery silk pant suits, cosy knits, pouch bags and dance costumes.

Alexis Mabille

Weaving satin stories and sending good vibes with white doves, Mabille’s collection resonated with prominent trends for the upcoming season. Suede sweatshirt dress, ball gown skirts tied at the waist, striped Poplin shirt with lace, blue and gold brocade and metallic thigh-high gold boots made it down the runway, to French live music in the background.

Faith Connexion

Who needs models when you can round-up stunning cast from the streets, who can model signature FC Fashion – a melange of street-wear and couture. From jewel encrusted net top and spray painted army jacket, to bleached oversized denim vest, cardigans embroidered with clusters of stones, and gold sequin track pants, all pieces had an undeniable cool factor to them.
