Bioeffect has been scientifically documented to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve skin texture, reduce pore size and improve pigmentation. The brand, launched in 2010, has now arrived in Dubai, in partnership with Harklinikken.
The cornerstone of the company, Bioeffect EGF Serum, was engineered by scientist Dr. Björn Örvar after more than a decade of research in plant biotechnology. An anti-ageing beauty treatment that improves the skin’s appearance by encouraging the skin to repair its own cells, EGF Serum’s results are said to be phenomenal.
The range of products has since been extended to include day creams, day serum, eye serum, intensive body serum, volcanic exfoliator and a 30 Day treatment set.
The key ingredient in Bioeffect products is EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), a cellular activator that occurs naturally in human skin and has the ability to speed up the rate of cell turnover, resulting in a fresher, revitalised and glowing complexion.
As we age, the skin slows its natural production of EGF and other cellular activators and begins to lose firmness and elasticity. The skin grows thinner, the epidermis become duller in appearance and wrinkles begin to form. Bioeffect addresses this process at a cellular level and brings luminosity back to the skin.
EGF is harvested within the seeds of the barley plant. Each plant is grown individually in volcanic pumice and watered with pure spring water in greenhouses in Iceland, using renewable geothermal energy. The green biotechnology ensures that products contain EGF of maximum purity, activity and stability.
