Swarovski hosted the first ever Sparkling Couture exhibition celebrating the brand’s long-standing relationship with regional and international couture designers. The evening event, held at Madinat Arena on 4th November showcased exquisite collections by 35 couturiers and six jewelry and accessory labels from across the Middle East and South Asia. Each designer presented one piece, created exclusively for the event, highlighting their innovative use of Swarovski crystals.
Chosen for their excellence in their respective areas of design, Swarovski brought together an eclectic group of designers providing a platform to showcase innovative and collaborative designs.
The exhibition saw top designers like Georges Hobeika, Ziad Anton and Amir Hossein Mehdizadeh participate and showcase some stunning pieces. Commenting on his experience, Hobeika said: “I truly value working with Swarovski for several reasons, namely: the beauty and quality of the crystals. I wish Swarovski even more success over the coming decades and I am proud to participate as the Guest Designer of Honor from Lebanon for Swarovski’s Sparkling Couture Exhibition.”
To make it even more special, Swarovski had invited designers from Sub-Continent as well, to participate and showcase their ethic wear. Elan, Maria B and Tena Durrani made Pakistan proud and helped the country get the much-deserved acknowledgement in the world of high fashion.
“It is a great privilege to be part of Swarovski Sparkling Couture. It’s exciting to innovate in fashion and to creatively match the crystal developments from Swarovski with my pieces. Sparkling Couture is a glittering celebration of creativity from artists around the globe,” said Maria B.
