I can’t tell you how excited I am to be able to post this. I haven’t been able to access my blog in Dubai as DU, for some unfathomable reason, believes that it has inappropriate content. I have complained but nothing has worked until now. So frustrating!
Anyway. I am in Sri Lanka now and can finally access it. So yippee!
What brought me to Sri Lanka? My sister’s wedding. It was an amazing experience. Sri Lankan hospitality has earned its fame for all the right reasons. There is no way they won’t bend to accommodate you. I haven’t met one angry driver yet, and they believe in depending on themselves for everything.
I am struggling just a bit with food, but there are plenty of options to make sure I won’t die of starvation.
I will do a separate post on my travel adventures in Sri Lanka; a quick round-up of today would include a visit to a natural spring, Rawana Falls, Hakgala Gardens and stay at Eden Hill hotel. The weather is fantastic – it’s about 14°, feels like 11° and there are predictions of thunderstorm. I am currently in Nuwara Eliya, which is a hill station located at 6128 ft, and is considered the most important area for tea production in Sri Lanka. It is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in the country.
That’s it for now. I am sharing beautiful pictures from my trip on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, so do connect!
Until next time my lovelies!
