I was seriously surprised to hear this – Miley Cyrus has landed Marc Jacob’s Spring/Summer ’14 Campaign. It all began with Kristen Stewart becoming the face of Chanel, and now Miley Cyrus has been signed by Marc Jacob’s Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign. It is one heck of a big deal, and the first high fashion campaign for the voice of ‘Wrecking Ball’ and ‘Can’t Stop’.
It wasn’t a surprise for industry insiders. Lately, Miley and Marc have been besties, with Marc putting Miley on message tees for skin cancer awareness and gay marriage and Miley, in turn, wearing a glittering Marc Jacobs gown to the 2013 FGI Night Of Stars Gala where she presented the designer with the Superstar Award.

Teaser of the campaign has been released, with Miley wearing a navy jacket with black embellishment, maroon shorts and black sneakers with embroidered white flowers. Rather than striking her usual pose — sticking out her tongue — the pop star goes for less funny and more serious, with a wandering look into the distance. Her nails are trimmed short and painted black, her smattering of tattoos are on full display, adding a rebellious twist to the imagery. Her makeup is soft and sultry, while her pout is glossed with a subtle nude shade for a nearly naked effect, and her hair is undone and blowing casually in the wind.
In short, the almost eerie image captures a reflective side of the star that we’re not quite accustomed to, but we’re warming up to this evolved maturity right away.
