By now, you probably know that I am an incorrigible shoeaholic. I have to, like HAVE HAVE to, buy a pair or two every month, for sanity’s sake.
During my visit to Karachi last month, I was on lookout for additions to my overflowing shoe rack. I browsed around quite a bit, and landed at CrossRoads, Dolmen Mall. I have made shoe purchases from this particular store before, and haven’t been too happy with the quality. My contribution of excessive pounds combined with their low quality of raw materials usually ends in a broken heel or strap. Having said that, I absolutely love their collection, for they are flirty, sexy and gorgeous to look at.
And this is why, guilty as charged, I bought two pairs of shoes. Here’s what I think of them:
SHOE 1: SEXY, BLACK SLINGBACKS
Black sheer lace covers the entire front, with adjustable strap at the back to get the perfect fit. It looks feminine and sexy, and would go with almost everything in my wardrobe. (It sounds like the description of a delicious lingerie *naughty*)
On the downside, the heels look rather shaky (or maybe it’s my previous bad experience talking). I have my fingers crossed!
SHOE 2: MIDNIGHT BLUE MEETS FLIRTY PINK
These cuties are open-toe slingbacks, with half an inch of broad heel. The blue (which can be mistaken for black) contrasts daringly with neon pink, and can be worn as an accessory to brighten an understated look. And did I tell you how comfortable they are? SUPER Comfortable!
They are a little loud for my taste, so I would pair them with neutral tones (maybe black top and beige pants).
I got both of them from CrossRoads’ outlet at Dolmen Mall. Black heels cost me Rs.2,495 and pink ones are for Rs.2,195.
So, how do you like my shoe haul for the month? Do drop in your comments below and share the post with your friends.
P.S. I wrote this review sometime ago. Despite my optimism, the flirty pink broke the first time I wore it. Sexy black is intact, but mighty uncomfy. Such a waste!
